There is just over a month left until the release of Dragon’s Dogma 2. The second chapter of the Capcom IP is expected on March 22nd on PC and console. While the information multiplies, some doubts still concern the performance in terms of fluidity on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series Despite the lack of completely precise information, Hideaki Itsuno, director of the series, on Twitter he issued a reassurance about the framerate: no to the 30fps cap. It means that the title could also turn to a greater fluidity than that considered nowadays the indispensable minimum. Itsuno essentially denies the statements of an insider from a few weeks ago.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: no to the 30fps cap, assures Hideaki Itsuno, director of the Capcom series
Although the information certainly represents a sort of reassurance, it is equally true that this is not supported by further details that could allow the data to be contextualized. Real, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will not have a framerate capbut does this mean that there could also be evident oscillations? The absence of a ‘lock’ could lead to this problem, especially in excited phases of gameplay (certainly not a rarity in games of this genre).
In short, all that remains is to discover something more in the coming weeks. However, it is reasonable to expect a wide range of options at least for the PC editions.
