Mullvad, known for its Tor VPN service, will release a new browser of the same name. A distinctive feature of the Mullvad browser is its operating principle, which does not coincide with the algorithms of the Tor network. Instead of the routing technology used in the Tor network, the Mullvad browser uses VPN technology.
The developers claim that the Mullvad browser does not collect telemetry and does not save cookies, cache or browsing history after closing the browser.
The Mullvad browser can be downloaded for free from an open source platform. Browser versions are available for Linux, macOS, Windows systems and an extension for the Firefox browser.
Disadvantages of the Mullvad browser:
May be slower than other browsers. Less common, so there may be fewer extensions and add-ons.
