Windows 11 24H2 will introduce Super Resolution technology to improve performance in video games. This was reported by the PhantomOcean insider who had access to the new update and decided to share an image on X which confirms the arrival of this upscaling technology based on artificial intelligence.
In the image of the leaker in question, Super Resolution technology seems like it will work automatically. Users only need to activate it once to ensure that it can be supported on all games. Clearly the use of an NPU (which are processors dedicated to machine learning present for years on smartphones and tablets) will improve in-game performance.
This Super Resolution technology can be activated even without dedicated chips. Windows 11 24H2 is expected for the second half of 2024 and will bring with it a series of new features such as support for the sudo command. Speaking of AI, Microsoft replaced Cortana with Copilot. As of 2024, Steam is only available on Windows 10 and 11.
In the meantime, Microsoft managed to steal the scepter of the company with the highest level of capitalization from Apple for a few seconds. The growth in the value of shares issued by Redmond is a trend that, according to experts, has been going on for over a year. And what do you think? Have you already made the switch to Windows 11? Let us know, as always, below in the comments.
Version 24H2 will have an AI “Super Resolution” feature, as previous reports mentioned. Here are some settings for it in Graphics settings – a default toggle and per-app options. (26052) pic.twitter.com/fI9t4ksTWH
