After disappearing from the world of video games for a few years, demo versions have regained some popularity in recent years. The opportunity to try out a new game for free is well received by fans.
If we are to believe freshly unearthed information from resourceful users of the subreddit, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will also be given a demo. At least after an update to the Steam backend, a reference to an application with reference to the upcoming fantasy role-playing game was found.

There is a line in the Steam listing that clearly indicates a free trial version. This indicates that the app is available “free of charge upon request”. This is unlikely to mean the actual game and the community now assumes that it is a free demo.
An official announcement from Capcom is currently pending, and there is no comment on the find yet. So we’ll be curious to see whether this hint really teases a demo version of Dragon’s Dogma 2 or whether it’s something completely different. But it doesn’t seem completely absurd, after all there was already a free trial version for the first Dragon’s Dogma to try out.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will finally be released on March 22, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The role-playing game gives you a lot of freedom when creating your character; there will be a total of ten callings, which allow a lot of freedom in the fights, in which you also have to face towering bosses.
