Redanian Intelligence has announced a new filming schedule for the upcoming fourth season of The Witcher. The show is expected to premiere in winter 2025.
Season 4 was originally supposed to begin filming in March rather than April 2024. However, journalists noted that filming schedules are always tentative and often shift. Completion of work on the season is scheduled for October. After this, the show’s creators will immediately begin creating the fifth season.
Let us remind you that even before the premiere of the final episodes, the Witcher threequel received the lowest ratings in the history of the series. Viewers did not like the plot, as well as the fact that popular actor Henry Cavill left the show from the role of Geralt. Despite the negative ratings, the third season of The Witcher topped Netflix with 15.2 million views. After the departure of Henry Cavill, the role of Geralt passed to Liam Hemsworth, known for the films “The Hunger Games”.
On December 7, Redanian Intelligence reported that the fifth season could be the last for the series about Geralt of Rivia. According to journalists, the authors are filming several books by Andrzej Sapkowski: “Baptism of Fire”, “Tower of the Swallow” and “The Lady of the Lake”.
