Acer is expanding its portfolio of premium notebooks this Wednesday (21) with the launch of new models in the Swift family. The devices feature AMD's latest generation hardware with Ryzen AI, a coprocessor prepared for Windows 11's new artificial intelligence tools.
Swift Edge 16
The most powerful model among the launches, the Swift Edge 16 is equipped with a 16-inch screen with OLED technology, WQXGA resolution (3,200 x 2,000 pixels) and 120 Hz refresh rate. In addition to being fluid, the panel has a response time of 0.2 milliseconds. The display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 range and sports VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500.
Under the hood, the notebook features the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor with Radeon 780M GPU to accelerate games and graphic editing, for example. Ryzen AI, a neural coprocessor, promises greater performance in artificial intelligence tasks along with the capacity of up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB SSD. The hardware is powered by a 54 Wh battery.
Weighing 1.22 kg and measuring 1.29 centimeters thick, the Swift Edge 16 has an aluminum alloy body that guarantees lightness and resistance. Other specifications include its Quad HD (1440p) webcam, two USB-C ports with USB4 standard, two USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port and a slot for reading a MicroSD card. The model includes versions with Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7.
Swift Go 14
A more compact option, the Swift Go 14 is equipped with a 14-inch screen with OLED technology, WQXGA resolution (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) and refresh rate. More affordable versions are available with an IPS LCD panel and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels.
The model can be equipped with processors ranging up to the most powerful in AMD's 8040 line, the Ryzen 9 8945HS, but it is also possible to find cheaper variants with the Ryzen 7 8845HS and Ryzen 5 8645HS. The Swift Go 14 can be purchased in versions with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2 TB SSD.

Under the hood, there will be options with 65 Wh and 50 Wh batteries. In the connectivity department, the port interface is similar to that found on the Swift Edge 16, except for the pair of USB-A inputs. The webcam also has a resolution of 1440p. Both come out of the box running Windows 11.
Price and availability
The Acer Swift Edge 16 will be available in March in the United States with prices starting at US$1,300 (about R$6,410). The Swift Go 14 will arrive in April with prices starting at US$700 (about R$3,449). The manufacturer has not confirmed the launch of the notebooks in Brazil.
