As we are tired of saying, the PS5 Pro will actually be a reality in 2024, bringing more performance, more efficiency, and apparently, a much-needed price adjustment to the current generation of Sony consoles. (The PS5 Pro will hit the market at the same price, or at a slightly higher price, while the recent Slim version should go down to €300~400).
What will we have new on PS5 Pro? Well, the promises have begun!
PlayStation 5 Pro vai prometer 4K a 120FPS! (500~600€!?)
Therefore, it seems that Sony is currently finalizing all the details about its PlayStation 5 Pro, in order to launch the new console sometime between October and November 2024. This will be a console that seems to want to offer 4K gameplay at 120FPS in almost all games.
In other words, a real 4K machine!
However, not everything is due to the new and renewed graphical capabilities of the console. We will have some AI in the mix, more specifically, upscaling based on artificial intelligence algorithms.
It is therefore very likely that the rumors that have already reached the Internet have some basis. In other words, the PS5 Pro could adopt an RDNA 3 or RDNA 4 graphics architecture, possibly even something hybrid between these two AMD graphics generations, and then have full support for AMD's very recent upscaling technologies.
Sony therefore wants to start testing this type of technology, while offering a level of fluidity never before seen in the world of consoles.
If this is going to be worth it, when will all games continue to be made for PS5 first and PS5 Pro second? Well, just look at the past! More specifically for the launch of the PS4 Pro to understand whether buying this console makes sense or not.
That said, it's also worth pointing out that this generation of consoles will be a little longer, possibly until 2028.
