Actually, everything seemed to be ready for the release in about a month, but now things are different: Prison Architect 2 will be released later than previously planned.
Anyone who was looking forward to the 3D sequel to the successful prison simulation Prison Architect next March needs to be strong: Paradox Interactive and Double Eleven have today announced a postponement of the release of Prison Architect 2.
“After careful consideration” they decided to take this step, so that Prison Architect 2 will not be released on March 26th, but only on May 7th, 2024. The further reasoning is: “Although they are convinced of the quality of the game, developers and publishers would like to use the additional time to identify further bugs and optimize the game for all platforms. Even if the retention
of the original launch date was an option, they believe this additional time is necessary to ensure they can provide their players with a seamless gaming experience from day one.”
Ultimately, the additional development time of a few weeks benefits the game; The motto is rather a slightly later release than an error-filled one.
Prison Architect 2 is the 3D successor to the successful simulation game Prison Architect. You can build a prison on several floors, with the simulation being more in-depth than in its predecessor and giving you more control. A new behavior system for prisoners should also provide more variety.
