From the name you can guess that the world is dedicated to the Moon.
JAXA, Japan's space agency, tried to spur interest in space with the help of Minecraft. The agency has released Lunarcraft, a dedicated Minecraft world dedicated to lunar exploration.
Especially for this project, JAXA employees recreated a real fragment of the Moon in Minecraft. To reconstruct the lunar surface, data collected by the Japanese Kaguya probe in 2007 was used.
Players are invited to explore the Theophilus Crater, where a lunar base has been built. This is what the Japanese Space Agency believes the Moon may look like in 2050; The agency estimates that the population of the base will be around 100 people.
In addition to the virtual version of a fragment of the Moon, Lunarcraft contains seven missions related to the study of the Earth's satellite. Players will have to improve the lunar base, grow a variety of products, and create protection from cosmic radiation.
In addition, during the completion of tasks you will need to extract valuable resources, build a platform for the arrival of rockets and expand the colony, erecting buildings for new inhabitants of the Moon.
Lunarcraft is free and can be downloaded from Minecraft Bedrock or Minecraft Education. You can download Lunarcraft here.
