Going from a niche franchise to a super popular series in just one series, what Yoko Taro managed to achieve with NieR Automata is truly fantastic. His decision to tempt newcomer gamers with the sensuality of the main character – 2B and then “hit” them with a quality story containing heavy philosophical content, ear-pleasing music and exciting gameplay resulted in success on many fronts. It's not surprising that many gamers want this series to continue after Automata exists. A dream that seems to be starting to show signs of light.
Neither Square Enix nor Yoko Taro have provided any official comments. However, there was a teaser that appeared at the NieR: Orchestra Concert in London recently, which surprisingly also featured Yoko Taro there. With recording actions that cannot be done, several visitors gave the same testimony that there was unique writing that appeared several times on the screen during the concert. Visitors found the word “R3PENT” popping up several times, which was too different to simply ignore. It is not surprising that many speculate that with the number “3” he carries, this is a teaser for NieR 3 which is believed to have the subtitle: R3PENT itself.
The words “R3PENT” appeared several times at NieR's concert which took place in London recently.
At the same concert, Yoko Taro also asked fans to clap and shout as loud as they could to convince the president of Square Enix, who was reportedly also at the same concert, to continue the NieR series. Will we really find a sequel to the NieR series in the near future? Let's just wait.
