The bad news for everyone who works in the video game industry continues this year: Sony has now officially announced that it will be laying off 900 jobs in the various PlayStation territories and at Sony Interactive Entertainment as a result of austerity measures.
The hardest hit is the Sony London development studio, which is about to be completely closed – which means that the manufacturer's VR future is likely to look even bleaker, as in-house projects for eyewear accessories were primarily created there.
