Before Ubisoft's brothers in arms in the third Brothers in Arms make their NextGen debut, the Digi heroes have to stand their ground again in Part 1 – this time on the PSP. Gearbox lets you in D-Day still pick up the weapon from the first person perspective. For the controls, this means: You cannot rotate the camera and move the character at the same time. You switch to 'clear view' mode by holding the circle button. If you just press the button briefly, you aim via the rear sight and front sight. This is important because the accuracy of the weapons leaves a lot to be desired.
Luckily, you trudge through the French hinterland accompanied by a few comrades: the soldiers attack at the push of a button and give a barrage of fire so that you can attack the enemy's flank. Using the situation view, you can check how the environment can be used for flanking maneuvers. The command repertoire is clear, but the overloaded team control causes problems. In battle mode you can exchange the digi help for a human player.
