Apple will finance the film adaptation of the novel Neuromancer by William Gibson. The film adaptation of Neuromancer will be a ten-episode series.
The showrunner of the series will be Graham Roland, who worked on the Jack Ryan show. The first episode of the Neuromancer adaptation will be directed by J.D. Dillard.
The series will be produced by Skydance Television, Anonymous Content and DreamCrew Entertainment. Roland and Dillard will serve as executive producers on the project.
The series will air on the Apple TV streaming service. The plot of the show will apparently be close to the story told in the novel: super hacker Case and his partner Molly will try to rob a powerful corporation.
The film adaptation of Neuromancer is apparently in the early stages of development. Apple's press release did not reveal the show's cast or release date.
