The long-awaited day has arrived: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth comes out today, the second part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake project that began in 2020 with the launch of the first game of an ideal trilogy. Now the sequel is available exclusively on PlayStation 5.
The launch trailer shows off some of the game's heroes and antagonistsfrom Cloud to Sephiroth passing through Tifa and Red XIII, we will not proceed further with the description of the video so as not to ruin the surprise but be careful because the clip contains some spoilers on the events of FF7 Remake and FF7 Rebirth.
On the occasion of the game's launch, comments from game director Naoki Hamaguchi, producer Yoshinori Kitase and creative director Tetsuya Nomura also arrive:
Yoshinori Kitase he says he is extremely proud of this project, after directing the original Final Fantasy VII it is an honor for him to introduce the game to a new generation of players to ensure that the legacy of FF7 lives on forever.
Il game director Naoki Hamaguchi admits that FF7 Rebirth is his largest and most ambitious game developed to date, a project born with the aim of recreating Final Fantasy VII with the most modern technologies.
Finally, the creative director Tetsuya Nomura claims to have “spent many years imagining a remake of Final Fantasy VII”, Rebirth is part of this vision and thanks to community feedback it has been possible to shape a game that includes all the key elements of FF7.
