The hype surrounding Palworld has largely died down, but there are still six-figure player numbers on the Steam servers on a regular basis. Since the “Pokémon on Drugs” is still in the early access stage, the developer studio Pocket Pair regularly adds new updates that promise new features and bug fixes. However, the latest patch to v0.1.5.1 is causing dissatisfaction because a change was apparently not mentioned in the associated release notes.
Next Palworld update: Pocketpair goes full throttle
These changes are probably certain words that can no longer be used for pals or signs. An entry in the Palword subreddit documents the missing innovation as “added censorship”, which, for example, no longer allows companions to be named after the male sexual organ. (Author's note: There are more creative options for this than the “penis” mentioned in the Reddit post.)

Now the criticism of the Palworld developers doesn't seem to be because of the change itself – at least the majority of Reddit comments are simply not enthusiastic about the lack of an announcement. On the other hand, individual users also find the change to be “too much of a good thing”; after all, Palworld has much harder content than one or two dirty words. The suggestion here is to make “censorship” optional and not make it mandatory for everyone, as with the new patch.
