The touchscreen tablet market is attracting less and less interest, particularly regarding Android models. However, some manufacturers continue to design new models such as Xiaomi which released its Pad 6 last summer, the touchscreen tablet with the best value for money. At Cdiscount, its price drops from 499.90 euros to 296 euros for the 256 GB version. We even find it even cheaper on AliExpress.

The touchscreen tablet market has seen better days, even iPad sales are declining, but that still doesn't stop Apple from cornering almost half of the market. However, if Android tablets are at the bottom of the abyss, they can only bounce back better with certain models like the Xiaomi Pad 6, the touch tablet with the best quality-price ratio on the entire market. Already affordable, it currently benefits from a reduction of more than 200 euros for the model with 256 GB of storage.

Xiaomi Pad 6 at the best price?
The best value for money Android tablet
Compared to the Pad 5, the Xiaomi Pad 6 does not change its design much. We stick with a classic but effective formula with simplicity as the watchword. It sports a metal frame with rounded corners while the front has thin edges and Gorilla Glass 3. There are better elsewhere, but not at this price. The Xiaomi Pad 6 above all has the advantage of being thinner than its rivals with a thickness of 6.5 mm, but it is heavier with a weight of 490 g.
At the back, we find a photo block that resembles that of the Xiaomi 13. It has a 13 Mpx sensor (f/2.2) while the front has an 8 Mpx sensor with the same aperture . The photos are logically of poor quality but for a touchscreen tablet, it is correct. In terms of autonomy, we are on an 8,840 mAh battery and the Chinese manufacturer's promise of 16 hours of video playback, 23 hours of reading or 65 hours of music. This is more than correct, especially since the 33 W recharge allows you to refuel in around 1 hour 40 minutes.
Performance that hurts the competition
The Xiaomi Pad 6 sports an 11-inch screen which could have been worthy of the high-end, but which must make do with an LCD display. This panel still benefits from a good definition in 2.8K (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) as well as a refresh rate of 144 Hz. This is not common on a touchscreen tablet and could prove very practical in gaming use. We also noted a maximum brightness of 522 cd/m² and coverage of 94% of the DCI-P3 spectrum, which is very good for a tablet of this price.
Finally, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is based on a Qualcomm processor, a Snapdragon 870 to be precise, and this is coupled with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM in this configuration. The Chinese manufacturer announces that this is enough to start editing in 4K and during our test, we managed to run Fortnite with full graphics settings at 60 FPS. It's a shame that the frame rate can't go higher, the 144 Hz refresh rate could have been really useful.
