Fans of the Fallout franchise have been waiting for a full-fledged new part since Fallout 4. The game Fallout 76, released in 2018, did not satisfy all fans, although it is still actively developing. At the moment, Fallout 5 is not in full development, or it has not been officially announced, but a series based on the franchise is due to be released in April, and the developers themselves compare it with a new part of the game series.
The creators of the Fallout series, represented by executive producer Jonathan Nolan, say that their work is actually Fallout 5.
From the first conversation with Todd (Howard), we were excited about the original story. (…)
In my career, Fallout is the closest thing to the work I did with the team on the Batman adaptation, where there's so much storytelling in the universe that there's no canonical version of it, so you can come up with your own. (…)
Each of the games (Fallout) is a separate story: different cities, different main characters – within the same mythology. Our series is connected to games at exactly the same level as these games are connected to each other. Our work is almost like Fallout 5. I don't want to sound presumptuous, but it's just a non-interactive version, right?
Let us remind you that the Fallout series will be released on April 12 on Amazon Prime.
