As the release date of Dragon's Dogma 2 approaches, Capcom is slowly revealing new details about the highly anticipated role-playing game. During a recent interview, the developers talked about an interesting feature of NPCs.
According to what was revealed by the producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi e dal game director Hideaki Itsuno to the microphones of Automaton, players will have to take care of all the non-player characters they want to keep alive. In fact, it would seem that during the adventure we will be able to relate to any passerby and improve the level of friendship with each of them, but at the same time we will have to make sure that they stay alive.
The world of Dragon's Dogma 2 is full of dangers and such characters could be mortally injured if involved in a fight. We will therefore have to be very careful so that during fights with creatures we do not hit the NPCs, except in case of death they will never be able to return. Death in the Capcom game is final and all characters who lose their lives for any reason will not be able to return in any way. The developers themselves invite players to grab NPCs and take them away from the hot areas to bring them to safety, so that they do not end up victims of the monstrosities that roam the map.
While waiting to find out more about the game, we invite you to read our interview with the developers of Dragon's Dogma 2.
