As we are tired of saying, MediaTek has been growing, and has increasingly interesting products, especially when compared to everything that Qualcomm has been doing and launching.
MediaTek still has the “fame” of being a manufacturer of low-end processors, however, it is managing to change the market's mentality, by first managing to convince all Android smartphone manufacturers on the planet. Ultimately, the only manufacturer that does not work with MediaTek is Google, which designs its own processors with the help of Samsung.
This is exactly why MediaTek's focus is changing again, and the high-end bet will begin in 2024.
MediaTek already works with the entire Android ecosystem!
Therefore, if a few years ago, MediaTek gained fame for its Helios processors, which gave life to many low-end and mid-range devices, the focus is now different. MediaTek sees an extremely interesting window of opportunity in a market still dominated by a Qualcomm that increases prices almost absurdly every year.
This is exactly why, after a few years of gaining the trust of consumers and smartphone manufacturers, it is time to offer incredible processors at slightly lower prices. A great example of this is the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, which should rival Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen4 on an equal footing.
Both processors based on TSMC's 3nm production process. Furthermore, with processing core configurations completely focused on serious performance. This is at the same time that we also have some news on the Artificial Intelligence side.
It's going to be a clash of the tits, where there will be only one winner… Us! Consumers. After all, competition and rivalry (almost) always results in better and cheaper products.
It shouldn't be long before Xiaomi, Samsung, Honor, etc… launch top smartphones with MediaTek processors, instead of just betting on Qualcomm.
