Large-scale, yes.
Frontier. The fourteen-minute video demonstrates the key features of the project and lifts the veil of secrecy over the current state of affairs in its development.
In the video you can see the process of resource management, a modified unit construction system, as well as star battles. At the end of the video, we are shown the defeat of the planet with the help of ships that are in its orbit.
It is known for certain that Falling Frontier will be released only on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store) no earlier than 2025. The player will be offered to take part in Star Wars in a procedurally generated planetary system. Among the key gameplay features of the space strategy, it is worth highlighting the thoughtful mechanics of designing ships, laying out logistics and thoughtful planning before any attack.
“Explore a massive procedurally generated star system with planets, moons, asteroid fields and nebulae. Build and upgrade ship docks, supply depots, factories and intelligence stations, develop new technologies and improve ship hulls, weapons, orbital services, colonization capabilities and much more.
Battles in Falling Frontier combine intuitive controls and thoughtful mechanics. Shells can damage or destroy various ship systems, and after a miss or ricochet, they can hit a random target. A small, maneuverable ship can defeat a larger one using surprise and tactical advantages,” reads the official description of the project.
