The latest update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 leaks incredible information… onto the web.
Cool neighborhood content
Insomniac Games, the studio behind Marvel's Spider-Man 2, continues to offer new content to players. The title continues to get people talking, sometimes in spite of itself. Update 1.002.00, released a few days ago, adds New Game+ (mode which is unlocked after completing the game the first time). This adds many features, including the ability to go beyond the maximum level provided at the base, to unlock new costumes or to further improve your gadgets.. We also note the possibility of replaying certain missions and being able to (finally) change the time of day in post-game.

Some players also discovered that this update opened access to a “debug” menu normally reserved for developers. It allows, among other things, to skip certain parts of the game, but also to test performance by modifying any parameter (weather, event, etc.). But when they looked further, players discovered submenus listing much more interesting things.
A new enemy in town… perhaps?
New and never implemented missions have been found, leaving doubt about the presence of potential future DLC. This would concern a character who also never appeared in the title: the Beetle. In the Spider-Man comics, this character is notably embodied by Tombstone's daughter, the latter already being present in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

Insomniac Games quickly responded on its X account, explaining that it was already working on a fix to remove access to the debug menu. The studio also indicates that using this menu reserved for developers could corrupt some saves and trophy collectionsbut playing normally presents no risk.
In the past, other elements have been unearthed by players, but these were traces of missions abandoned during development. These missions could also be part of planned sequences then finally canceled during production.
