The promise of Arrowhead Games Studios It's simple, but difficult to do: keep Helldivers 2 constantly evolving. Its Dungeons & Dragons-style community universe (PvE/GM) is something rare in the video game industry and is ironic with the number of video games as a service that have broken this promise.
Over the last month, the studio has demonstrated its commitment to Helldivers 2– Small (almost) daily updates to resolve issues, transparency with the community, and introduction of both in-universe events and new content. We are talking about a team that has faced an unexpected success and that has brought planetary dangers, new enemies, weapons, armor to the game… These are enough reasons to trust in a promising future.
The new content has also confirmed the suspicions of veteran players and the revelations of dataminers: Arrowheard is going to take advantage of many elements of Helldivers (2015). Enemy factions, stratagems, weapons… We have a lot of elements that come directly from the first installment. And there is much more to come!
Geonemolodium arraknis in Helldivers 2. Coming soon.
The introduction of new enemies without warning by Arrowhead Games Studio, specifically the flying bugs, and the good reception by the community, makes us think that the study will repeat this modus operandi in the future. Without going any further, the community is considering a theory that indicates the imminent arrival of a traveling faction: The illuminated.
However, we do not just wait for The illuminated. Veteran players await with excitement and terror the arrival of an ancient creature that made their lives miserable in the first installment: the Hive Lord, a huge desert worm similar to the Geonemolodium arraknis or Sand Worms from Dune. This is not a crossover, although many fans are begging for them to return in this form.

Like the arrival of the Lisan Al Gaib to Arrakis in Dunethe return of the Hive Lord is based on different clues that we have been finding: the revelations of the dataminers, the tremors (introduced along with the rest of the planetary dangers) on certain planets and finally images with supposed sightings… perhaps smaller versions .
I'm aware that most of you haven't played HD1, but HD2 is basically a 3D version of HD1. Most of the weapons, stratagems, objectives and enemies are the same as in HD1. It makes sense that the developers continue to add weapons/strategies from HD1, as well as additional difficulty levels and bosses.
It was at the end of February that I told you all the content that may come to Helldivers 2 in the future, based on the words of a veteran player (quote above) and the findings of a dataminer. In both cases, the return of confrontations against special bosses in the form of an event is mentioned, as is currently the case with the Terminated Titans. I recommend you take a look at the publication linked in this paragraph.
What the hell is the Hive Lord and what would his arrival entail?
Although you may find it hard to believe, we still haven't seen all the enemy variants in Helldivers. And I'm not referring to Los Illuminados. Each faction has special enemies located on specific and special planets. They all have the role of Master, far above the tanks and titans that we can see now.
Finished They have the Hive Lord or Lord of the Hive.
Automata the Siege Mech or Assault Mech.
Enlightened They have the Great Eye.

If we look at the data collected by the wiki, we are talking about a boss with mechanics. He has a wild life and up to five different attacks: claw, charge, attack from below (after diving), throw poisonous mucus and trace a circular area of poison. Furthermore, the report points out that we can find different worms, each with its own name, in different biomes: desert, forest, snow and even volcanic. And if that were not enough, he appears accompanied by elites.
The Hive Lord or Lord of the Hive is the favorite candidate for two reasons: the recent success of Dune in cinemas and the current campaign against the Terminids. The Automata have already had their arc in history with the Battle of Tien Kwan for the mecha, a movement that makes sense when knowing the Siege Mech, so it is logical to think that the next big event of Helldivers 2 It is the encounter with this bugger when pushing the faction back on the galactic map.
Some helldivers have noted that they would like to see this worm featured in Search and Destroy missions (like Titans) or eight-player raids, for example. Personally, I would prefer their appearance to be random on certain designated maps, similar to what happens with the kraken in Sea of Thieves.
In short: the arrival of the Hive Lord to Helldivers 2 It would mean monumental chaos for helldivers and the return of world boss encounters. It is important to note that there is no confirmed information in this regard and that all of this is based on information shared by the community. The decision lies with Arrowhead Games Studios. I hope they throw this nightmare on us!
