This is how the creators of the sequel explained the change in the appearance of the characters.
In the horror world of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, the events of the first part of the film did not take place – at least not in reality. While working on the sequel, the creators of Winnie the Pooh decided to make the first film a fictional story.
Speaking to ComicBook, producer actor Scott Chambers explains that the first Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is now a movie that exists within the universe of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2. But the events of the sequel actually happen.

In the sequel [режиссер и сценарист] Rhys Frake-Waterfield wanted a new design and everything, so the first film ended up being inside the second film.
For the sequel, Rhys Frake-Waterfield not only changed the appearance of some characters, but also carried out a recast – after all, now the heroes of the first part are the actors who played the characters in the film. For example, Scott Chambers got the role of the new Christopher Robin.
According to Chambers, when creating new versions of Winnie the Pooh and his fellow killers, the writers of “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” were inspired in part by classic horror films. For example, Vinny himself resembles Jason Voorhees, Tigger is a character in the spirit of Freddy Krueger, and Piglet is Leatherface.
The premiere of the film “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” will take place on March 26, 2024.
