With the return of sunny days generally comes the return of outdoor sports sessions and to better support this return to sport, why not set your sights on a connected watch? These devices act as a real virtual coach and it is perfect for those who are preparing for the next Paris marathon. During Amazon's spring flash sales, the Garmin Venu 2 Plus drops to 288 euros instead of 449 euros initially.
During CES 2022, Garmin presented a series of new connected watches including the Venu 2 Plus, a revamped version of the Garmin Venu 2 which uses more or less the same technical sheet, but which also includes something new that makes all the difference. And, like the other smartwatches in Garmin's Venu range, it is halfway between a sports watch and a lifestyle watch with its sober and refined design. During Amazon's spring flash sales, its price plummeted to -36%.

Garmin Venu 2 Plus at the best price?
A slightly redesigned Garmin Venu 2
With its sporty connected watches, Garmin accustoms us to massive cases that are not at all discreet, but it's a completely different story with its Venu range. Thanks to a more sober design, the Garmin Venu 2 Plus benefits from a lifestyle side which takes nothing away from its robustness ensured by Gorilla Glass 3 and 5 ATM water resistance. The AMOLED screen with 416 x 416 pixel definition is pleasant to look at, even in direct sunlight thanks to its brightness which automatically adapts to that of its environment.
The Garmin Venu 2 Plus takes on the appearance of the Venu 2, but also almost its entire technical sheet. We find the same sensors, namely a heart rate monitor, an oximeter, a GPS and the classic accelerometer, gyroscope and altimeter. Monitoring of sports sessions is ensured, as are certain health measures such as sleep monitoring or stress levels. Finally, it is also possible to install music apps, and Android as well as iOS are supported.
A third button that makes all the difference
The Garmin Venu 2 Plus therefore has the same characteristics of a good connected watch but is even better with the addition of a third button. This is used to activate the new microphone that has been added and opens the door to additional features. It thus becomes possible to make calls, send text messages with voice dictation, but also to invoke the assistant of your choice between Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri in order to play music, have the latest weather reports before go out for a jog or control your connected home.
Finally, in terms of autonomy, Garmin suggests a duration of 9 days in connected watch mode and 24 hours with GPS constantly activated. The figures differ slightly from those of the Garmin Venu 2 which lasts two days longer in connected watch mode, but two hours less with GPS. Note that an energy saving mode is also included and allows you to grab an extra day of use. For recharging, the manufacturer provides a special plug which allows you to refuel in around an hour.
