The new Nvidia cards with RTX 4080 Super have been on the market since the end of January. While there were some RRP offers for 1,109 euros right at the time of release, street prices were higher for some time. But things have changed again since the beginning of March.
How much does the cheapest 4080 Super cost?
A current look at the PCGH price comparison shows that the cheapest reputable offer starts at 1,062 euros. The offer concerns the KFA2 RTX 4080 Super ST, which is somewhat complicated on Ebay with a POWEREBAY4 voucher and ultimately comes to 1,062.71 euros. Notebooksbilliger also offers the card in its shop for a good 1,069 euros. Other “standard designs” also sell for well under the RRP of 1,109 euros over the virtual counter. There are, among others, the Gainward 4080 Super Panther OC, the Inno3D 4080 Super X3 or the Palit 4080 Super Jetstream OC between 1,079 euros and 1,091 euros. At Mindfactory, a popular graphics card provider, the current range for 4080 Super prices is from 1,091 to 1,566 euros.

At the beginning of March it was still an exceptional case that the 4080S cards fell below the RRP. Now, at least with standard designs, it is the rule that you can save up to 40 euros compared to the RRP. This doesn't necessarily make the normal 4080 cards any more attractive at the current prices. In the meantime there was an offer for 1,000 euros, currently the cheapest card from Manli starts at 1,040 euros. However, the price differences compared to the 4080S are generally quite low.
The 4080S joins the ranks of the other super cards that also run below the RRP. With the Geforce RTX 4070 Super, essentially the replacement for the RTX 4070 Ti, the discrepancies with the RRP are even clearer. Starting with an RRP of 659 euros, the RTX 4070 Super is currently available for under 600 euros and has therefore fallen in price by a good 60 euros. Prices for the RTX 4070 Ti Super start at 847 euros – the RRP was 889 euros at the time of release.
