The action adventure in the Marvel universe from Skydance New Media, led by ex-Uncharted screenwriter Amy Hennig, received a new trailer and final title as part of the State of Unreal presentation at GDC 2024.
As predicted by the recent a leakthe debut project of Skydance New Media is called Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra – a game about the confrontation between a team of four heroes of the terrorist organization Hydra during World War II.
Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Black Panther (Azzuri) must overcome their differences and team up with the Howling Team's Gabriel Jones and Wakanda spy Nanalee to stop a sinister plot.
Debuting as part of State of Unreal, the story trailer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra lasts two and a half minutes and gives a sneak peek at one of the key scenes involving Captain America and the Black Panther in occupied Paris.
The cinematic also reveals the release date of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra (but not the target platforms) – 2025. The game is being developed on the latest version of the Unreal Engine 5 (5.4).
The developers promise a completely original story, the ability to play as all four characters at different stages of the plot, and the spirit of adventure familiar to Marvel fans.
The publication on the Marvel website also revealed the composer of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra – the music for the game will be written by Stephen Barton. The main voice actors have also been confirmed – they are captured in the photo attached below.
