But there is also Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City, which will be released in Russia.
Polish studio CD Project RED has enlisted the support of Go on Board, with which it is now making a board game in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. On this occasion, a separate atmospheric teaser was presented, in which you can even spot some locations from Night City. There are also 3D figures from the board game itself.
Go on Board, which is considered the manufacturer of the “tabletop”, promises to provide more details about it in the near future, but for now it only offers to subscribe to its page. If you do this, you should be given a V figurine with Mantis Blades and two unique action cards upon checkout. If you can pre-order, of course, because residents from the Russian Federation and Belarus will face obvious difficulties at this stage.
Money for the desktop version of Cyberpunk 2077 will be raised through crowdfunding platforms. As for the gameplay, players will be asked to engage in a routine familiar to them from the original project from CD Projekt RED: collecting tasks from fixers, earning currency, personalizing their alter ego. The creators are already talking about the importance of using non-standard solutions when performing a particular task. Teamwork will also be welcomed here.
The authors from Go on Board plan to determine the final appearance of the Cyberpunk 2077 board game together with the players. They are ready to listen to the latest ideas and implement the most promising ones. Let us also remind you that the project we are currently discussing is not exclusive. We already know about the existence of the board card game Cyberpunk 2077 – Afterlife: The Card Game, and at the beginning of this year, the Russian board game publisher Hobby World announced that it would be releasing Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City. The latter should be released in Russia before the end of 2024.
