Atlus interrupts the usual nightly quiet to announce a date change for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, new edition of the JRPG for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series You have nothing to fear anyway, since it will arrive sooner than expected!
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance was brought forward by a week, therefore the new release date corresponds to June 14, 2024, instead of June 21st communicated during the announcement. Atlus has not revealed the reasons for this choice, but we are sure that no one will have anything to say about the advance. Meanwhile, the pre-order campaign continues for the digital versions on PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and Steam (59.99 euros in Standard Edition and 69.99 euros in Digital Deluxe), while Reservations are not yet open on Nintendo eShop.
For those who missed it, we remind you that Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is a new version of the JRPG launched for the first time in 2021 exclusively on Switch. In addition to the original adventure, it also includes an unpublished storynew areas and music, a refined combat system, new demon experiences, and more opportunities for field exploration.
Specifically, waiting for players when the game starts is a selector for choosing between two narrative paths: the Canon of Creation (the story already told in the original Shin Megami Tensei V) and the Canon of Vengeance (an unpublished story). The latter introduces new characters, an enigmatic group of demons called Qadištu, new locations and a map to explore.
