In September 2023, rumors began to surface that Microsoft might automatically install the new Outlook for Windows with Windows 11 23H2 (2023 Update). After that, the press began to report another particularity of the new Outlook. Sending some user data to its servers. If you don't like these aspects of the new application or if you simply prefer the classic application, you can remove the new Outlook in one click using Bloatynosy.
Windows: you can now remove the new outlook with one click!
In practice, this is a third-party utility that helps you remove these applications from Windows with just one or two clicks.
Meanwhile, the application's creator, Belim, recently published Bloatynosy AI, which will do the same with Copilot. Although removing or uninstalling New Outlook for Windows isn't as complicated as Copilot, since you can simply do it from the list of applications within Settings, it's still a good idea.
Although this is not a technical complaint, many users did not really like the name of the application itself. The developer took note of this and as such renamed Bloatynosy to Winpilot. It also integrates Clippy, which is a nice touch to invoke nostalgia among Windows users.
As with Bloatynosy, users can simply type “outlook” inside the box. However, Winpilot offers suggestions such as “Do you want to go back to classic Outlook and remove the new Outlook application?”. When you click on the suggestion, Clippy confirms that the new Outlook has been removed.
In the meantime, you can download version 3.1 of Bloatynosy (Winpilot) from this page on GitHub. As always, keep in mind that this is a third-party application.
