Dragon's Dogma 2 could influence Resident Evil 9. A well-known insider always related to Capcom's survival horror saga has spoken about this new installment.
Capcom Just released Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Despite criticism for micropayments and other errors, the game has been acclaimed for its open-world approach. Could we see something similar in Resident Evil 9?
The idea seems a bit far-fetched, but a recent report from prominent leaker Dusk Golem has generated a lot of comments among fans. What do we know about Resident Evil 9? After Resident Evil 4 Remake y Resident Evil Villagefans demand news.
According to the leaker, Resident Evil 9 will be based on new open world technology from RE Engine which Capcom has used successfully in Dragon's Dogma 2. Everything would be part of a plan with three very important pillars.
The Trinity of Capcom: Dragon's Dogma 2, Monster Hunter Wilds and Resident Evil 9
The first has already been built: Dragon's Dogma 2 and that experimentation with an open world where the emerging narrative is the great attraction. We will see the second in 2025 with the launch of Monster Hunter Wilds… And the third would be Resident Evil 9.
They would all share that open world technology as part of Capcom's plan to “give the green light to new initiatives in threes”… Just as happened a few years ago with Resident Evil 7, Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2 remake .
Dusk Golem points out that Resident Evil 9 and Monster Hunter Wilds will retain the DNA of their respective sagasbut at the same time they will innovate with new possibilities following the example set by Dragon's Dogma 2.
We don't know anything about the new game in the Resident Evil saga, but a few months ago it was said that Resident Evil 9 will end the Village and RE7 arc and that the game would have the largest budget in the saga and would arrive in 2025.
Of course, all this is unofficial information and although this leaker has hit the nail on the head many times, we must take this as a mere rumor. What do you expect from Resident Evil 9? Can you imagine an open world game?
