Monster Hunter Wilds will supposedly have it too.
Capcom intends to provide the next part of Resident Evil with an open world, believes occasional Dusk Golem insider. According to him, this became possible thanks to an update to the RE Engine, the company's core technology.
The engine, explains Dusk Golem, received support for open worlds during the development of Dragon's Dogma 2. Now this technology is allegedly planned to be used not only in Resident Evil 9, but also in Monster Hunter Wilds.
It is argued that the appearance of an open world in the new parts of Resident Evil and Monster Hunter will not have too much of an impact on the essence of the games.
Dusk Golem
occasional insider
It's clear that Dragon's Dogma 2 is still Dragon's Dogma. Wilds is still Monster Hunter, and that's true for Resident Evil 9 as well.
The new part of Resident Evil has not yet been announced; Dusk Golem itself claims that the game will not be released until 2025. The game will supposedly draw a line under the plot of the trilogy that started with Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.
Monster Hunter Wilds has already been announced, but purely formally: players received only a short trailer. The project will be released in 2025; a full presentation of the game will take place in the summer of 2024.
