The gigantic update 1.6 was recently released for Stardew Valley, which brought the number of players in the pixelated farming simulation on Steam to a new all-time high. On Thursday, over 155,000 Steam players were playing Stardew Valley at the same time – eight years after release – as the numbers on SteamDB document. Fans have also now noticed that Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone made a joke with Update 1.6. Because instead of patching an exploit out of Stardew Valley, players who use it are now apparently being punished
The coming lines will discuss Stardew Valley's in-game content.
Mister Qi puts an end to cheaters
Until you have reached 100 percent of the game progress in Stardew Valley, players should not be able to legally enter the summit. However, there is an out-of-bounds glitch that is supposed to make exactly that possible. If cheaters took this route before Update 1.6, a strange screen is said to have appeared. After Update 1.6, however, Mister Qi is waiting for the cheater – and doesn't come with peaceful intentions.

Reddit user “Snail51” shares his experience after illegally accessing the summit using the out-of-bounds glitch. As a result, Mister Qi accosts the player, mocking him and calling him despicable until he finally pounces on the player. Apparently this is an attempted murder on the part of Mister Qi, as the screen suddenly goes black and the player wakes up in the hospital after emergency surgery was performed on him. In this context, the treating doctor only says that the player should take better care of himself soon.
Suitable for: Stardew Valley: Update 1.6 impresses not only with the meter-long changelog
It's definitely an interesting approach from ConcernedApe (if intended that way) to leave exploits in Stardew Valley, but playfully process them as part of the plot, with resulting in-game consequences. Stardew Valley remains one of the most popular games on Steam and has a 98 percent approval rating with well over half a million reviews. Stardew Valley is available on Steam or GoG for 14 euros.
