In June 2021, developers from Remedy announced the creation of the game Condor. This is a spin-off of Control, which is a multiplayer project in the PvE shooter genre for 4 players. In their latest report, Remedy said that they plan to move the project to a new stage of production in the coming months, indicating a full launch of the game into production.
Now it has become known what the final concept was developed for what is now under the name Condor:
The game's development budget is approximately $27 million, according to current plans. In Condor, players will go “into the depths of the Oldest House.” The team will have to face difficult enemies and other obstacles. To survive, you will need to rely on each other and on the available equipment. The Condor game is not planned to be distributed using a shareware model. Remedy's post says it's a “premium game that may have a lower starting price but a long tail of revenue through regular expansions, updates, and possibly microtransactions.”
At the moment, Condor does not have an expected release date, nor is there any information about a publisher. Previously, Remedy bought the Control franchise from 505 Games and said that in the future they may consider releasing Control 2 and Condor with the involvement of a third-party publisher.
