Full development of the project will start before the end of the year.
Remedy's presentation on its latest fiscal year report includes new information about several of the company's projects. In particular, Remedy spoke in a little more detail about Condor, a spin-off of Control.
This codename hides the first service game in Remedy's history. According to the presentation, Condor will not be a shareware project: the game is planned to be sold, making additional money on post-release support.
Remedy admits that Condor will receive a microtransaction system, but cannot yet say exactly how the studio will make money from supporting the game. In addition to microtransactions, we can talk about additions and updates.
In Condor, players will explore the Oldest House, the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, which has come under attack. As the last agents of the bureau, players will have to fight aliens from other worlds.
Players will be able to “journey together into the depths of the Oldest House,” but we don't yet know what that means in practice.
Full development of Condor will start before the end of 2024; at least 25 million euros will be invested in the project. The developers cannot yet say when Condor will be released.
