This week, Game Pass is getting its first game from Activision Blizzard since Microsoft bought the publisher. The deal took place back in October 2023, but it won't be until March 28 that Diablo IV joins Game Pass, becoming the first subscription product of the deal.
Microsoft, on the official Xbox Wire blog, told players some details that they need to know about the release of Diablo IV on Game Pass, as well as about the game in general:
The game will launch on Game Pass only on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. The cloud version will not be available at launch. PC users will need to link their Xbox account to their Battle Net account before launching Diablo IV. If the Battle Net service is not installed on your PC, you will need to install it first. Below you can see instructions on the steps that PC players will need to follow to launch the Game Pass version of Diablo IV.
Xbox reminds us that Diablo IV takes place decades after the events of Diablo III. Microsoft notes that this is a separate game that does not require knowledge of the events of the previous part. There are 5 character classes available in the game: Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue or Wizard. For newcomers to the world of Diablo IV, Microsoft first recommends going through the story campaign.
Let us remind you that Diablo IV is currently in season 3, which was recently extended, postponing the launch of season 4 until May 14.
