Wargaming, the developer and publisher of the leading naval MMO World of Warships, brings the thrilling battles of the console spin-off to touchscreens worldwide with the global release of World of Warships: Legends on mobile devices.
The new version is available for free via Google Play and the Apple App Store and players can jump into compact battles with the upcoming update.
Parallel to this exciting launch, Legends offers the brand new space combat event with cosmic content, four new Japanese cruisers in early access and another classic five-week campaign with a pan-European premium battleship as a reward.
A truly legendary launch on mobile!
With this spring update, players around the world can delve deeper into the World of Warships universe than ever before: Legends on Smartphone allows players to experience the action-packed combat of World of Warships: Legends on their mobile devices.
The mobile edition of Legends is free and available for both Android and iOS. Designed to enable cross-play and cross-progression for Xbox and PlayStation, it features intuitive and simple touchscreen controls for smooth sailing.
Mobile players can look forward to beautifully detailed maps, hundreds of hyper-realistic 20th century ship models and impressive effects.
With almost every ship type available at launch, players can assemble their own unique armada and set out to conquer the high seas. To do this, the tutorial must be completed in the mobile version and then the accounts can be linked.
Evgeniy Shukin, Publishing Director of World of Warships: Legends, said: “We wanted to provide the best possible experience for our players who are passionate about our game and can't wait to get home to enjoy some games. With cross-progression, players can now sail their favorite ships on the way to work.”
World of Warships: Legends Mobile is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Reach for the stars in the space combat event
The brand new cosmic event “Space Combat” will trigger gravity waves in Legends. Players compete against each other in a unique PvE mode that gradually becomes more difficult as various tasks are completed.
Captains looking to embark on this intergalactic adventure can choose from one of three themed ships that have unique abilities, including Orbital Strike and Electromagnetic Pulse.
There are also special commanders ready to take the helm. Throughout the event, players can earn a limited-time currency, Stellar Chips, which they can use to purchase a range of event items, including a ship, camouflages and various captain outfits.
Japanese cruisers in early access and more
Four Japanese light cruisers will also be welcomed into Early Access in March. There is also another five-week campaign with 100 milestones.
The light cruisers are available through Japanese cruiser crates and range from Tiers IV to VII. These powerful ships come with the special Night Warrior calendar, which offers many rewards including a special Japanese commander.
The new Sveriges Sällhet campaign offers another impressive ship to expand players' fleets. At the end of the five weeks, the pan-European Tier VIII premium battleship Karl XIV Johan awaits to set sail as a glorious prize.
This update also includes a number of bug fixes and improvements across the game. The full patch notes are available here.
