Chuwi has launched a new gaming laptop, the GTBook X, aimed at users who need a powerful system for gaming, work, and study without having to pay exorbitant prices for the high-end market. The new product is equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, an Intel Core 7 230H processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 independent graphics card. The laptop costs $999.
The manufacturer calls one of the GTBook X’s features an increased graphics card power limit. The RTX 3050 laptop GPU operates at TGP up to 80W and comes with 4GB GDDR6 memory. In Turbo mode, when connected to the supplied 180 W power supply, the total power of the processor and graphics accelerator reaches 140 W: taking into account Nvidia Dynamic Boost, the CPU can reach up to 45 W and the GPU up to 95 W.
This laptop is based on the hybrid architecture Intel Core 7 230H. The processor combines six high-efficiency cores and four energy-saving cores, supports 16 threads, and runs at up to 5.2 GHz. The Intel Smart Cache has a capacity of 24 MB.
Cooling is provided by five heat pipes, two high-speed fans, and a high-fin density copper heatsink. Users can choose between three operating modes using a dedicated button: Office Mode for quiet operation and energy saving, Balanced Mode for Balanced Mode and Turbo Mode for maximum performance.
This laptop comes with 16 GB dual-channel DDR4-3200 RAM and 512 GB SSD. The manufacturer offers the possibility of independent upgrades: two SO-DIMM slots allow you to increase the RAM capacity to 64 GB, and two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots allow you to install additional disk drives.
15.6-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. In order to connect to an external display, HDMI 2.1 and Mini DisplayPort 1.4 are provided, supporting 120 Hz 4K resolution image output.
The device also includes a full-size RGB keyboard, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. This group interface includes USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, one USB-A 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, SD card reader, headphone and microphone jacks.
The Chuwi GTBook X runs Windows 11 Pro. The laptop measures 360.2 x 243.5 x 23 mm and weighs approximately 2 kg. The battery capacity is 46.74Wh.
