Fuse Games has launched a video series called “Under the Hood with Hibi”, the first of which is dedicated to land fliers. Hibi, an Ardennes mechanic from the protagonist’s camp, talks about the structure and characteristics of this type of vehicle.
Overall, Star Wars: Galaxy Racer will offer four classes of repulsor vehicles with different control physics. Landspeeders rely more than other race cars on endurance and the ability to withstand collisions, and planing mechanics allow them to compensate for their weight when turning. Speed bikes are fast but prone to damage, skimmer bikes emphasize maneuverability, and super racers combine erratic handling with unpredictability.
The game’s events will unfold after the fall of the Empire, when the illegal Galactic Alliance appears in Outer Rome. The protagonist Shade enters the competition for glory and revenge against the champion Kesta Blue. During the campaign, players will choose a course of events, acquire upgrades, and deal with the aftermath of incidents.
In addition to the story campaign, the game will offer arcade and scenario modes, and multiplayer will support up to 12 participants. Star Wars: Galaxy Racer will be released on October 6 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The standard version costs $59.99.
