Things are getting tighter in the graphics accelerator market. The flagship professional graphics card NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 based on the Blackwell architecture is now officially priced at $16,000. That’s double the original suggested price, which at launch was around $8,000. It’s worth noting that we’re not talking about markups from speculators or third-party stores – the official NVIDIA price list and the company’s main partner PNY have already updated the price tags.
The reason for the price increase is very obvious to everyone – there is currently a shortage of memory chips. This graphics card has as many as 48 2GB memory chips, providing customers with 96GB VRAM.
