The second phase of beta testing for Gears of War: E-Day has begun and will last until August 17th. If only game buyers and Game Pass subscribers could participate in the first program, now it’s open to everyone.
Meanwhile, The Coalition has listed 10 improvements that players will notice in this version:
- Lancer base damage increased.
- The Lancer’s bonus damage when perfectly reloaded has been reduced.
- Improved handling of hit registration delays in Horde Siege mode.
- Improve protection against cheaters.
- Stability issues have been resolved and crash rates have been reduced on all platforms.
- Fixed connection timeout bug.
- Improved matchmaking system in Versus Social and Ranked modes.
- Drone-Snub bug has been fixed and the required network port has been changed from UDP 443 to UDP 3074.
- Fixed an issue with some third-party controllers being recognized when running the beta version on PC via Steam.
- Graphic stuttering and stuttering have been reduced on Xbox Series S – performance should be noticeably better on this version.
In addition, the developer also clarified the operation of aim assist on the game controller. Normal assist levels continue to function in all modes, including Versus. Stronger options are only available in Campaign and Horde Siege modes. There is currently no corresponding explanation in the beta settings, and it will appear after release.
We remind you that participating in the Gears of War: E-Day beta will receive exclusive rewards for the full version of the game.
