Remedy Entertainment is continuing to remake the first two installments of Max Payne , but the studio has yet to reveal details about the project. The company’s latest half-year financial report also confirmed this.
The remake is produced in partnership with Rockstar Games, which is responsible for publishing the project. According to a Remedy representative, this prevents the developer from answering questions about the game’s current status and revealing new details.
The collaboration between the two companies was known as early as August 2025. Since then, there’s been very little official information about the remake, so confirmation that development is underway is important news for fans of the series.
There is no specific release date yet. Perhaps new details will emerge at the 2026 Game Awards in December, but for now this is just speculation.
