Yandex intends to produce 1,500 delivery robots per month in its own factories – the machines will be distributed in cities with a population of more than 1 million to ensure deliveries within budget. Marat Mavlyutov, head of the company’s robotic delivery division, spoke about this during a live broadcast radio red blood cells.

“Our goal is to produce 15 robots per month, take them to more than 1 million cities, and launch robot delivery services there.”– said Mr. Mavlyutov. Previously, the Ministry of Economy, Interior, Transport and the Federal Security Service prepared and sent to the government a draft experimental legal regime for delivery robots. Driving on sidewalks less than one meter wide is prohibited, and the acceleration speed must not exceed 25 km/h; before crossing a crosswalk, they will be required to slow down to 6 km/h and give priority to pedestrians.
