There’s been a lot of news about The Elder Scrolls 6 this week, with Asha Sharma making a small post hinting at the project’s subtitle and revealing that she’s already seen some gameplay. There’s no official word from Bethesda about the game yet, but more and more information is coming out from various insiders.
YouTube blogger EpicNate (more than 1.4 million subscribers, specializes in The Elder Scrolls and Ashes) reporthis sources within Bethesda say 2028 is the current release target for The Elder Scrolls 6 (subtitled Sentinels). According to him, the Xbox team is now aiming to release the game in 2028, but this does not mean that the project will be released without delay.
The author of the film also noted that Bethesda intends to discuss and release remasters of “Fallout 3” and “Fallout: New Vegas” in 2027. After this, the main focus will shift to the next installment of The Elder Scrolls. At the same time, he stressed that 2028 should now be considered “The earliest release date for The Elder Scrolls 6”.
In his video, EpicNate did not name the specific Bethesda employee who provided him with this information. He claimed that these contacts had previously briefed him on the development of Oblivion Remastered and its release window, as well as Fallout: New Vegas Remastered.
Note that Microsoft has previously said The Elder Scrolls 6’s release date would be “2026 or later,” and Phil Spencer said when he filed a lawsuit with the FTC in 2023 that release would be “at least five years away.” It is unclear whether “The Elder Scrolls 6” will become an Xbox exclusive game, but players are looking forward to such a scenario.
