“Guild Wars 2” was cracked by fans

The fan community of the MMORPG Guild Wars 2 has launched an initiative aimed at creating and supporting a localization of the game in Russia. The crowdsourcing project (by K13or), published on GitHub, is a tool that allows fans to collectively translate game text into easy-to-work pieces (batches).

This development is intended to simplify the translation process of a large role-playing game, which is not officially available in Russian. This project allows you to coordinate the efforts of players who want to contribute to content adaptation and provides ready-made tools for installing localization tools. Project developers are actively updating the repository and invite everyone to participate in localization work.

For detailed instructions on installing Russifier and information on how to participate in translation, please visit: Project page on GitHub.

Do you play Guild Wars 2? Do you think fan initiatives like this are the best way to access content in your native language?
