Funktronic Labs has launched a public beta test for Scramble Knights Online. Let’s remember that after three years of development, the game changed direction. The developers decided to make an MMO-lite RPG with a cooperative adventure in a shared world, rather than a battle royale-focused project.
To participate in the beta, simply open the Scramble Knights Online page steam Then click the green button that says “Request Access” and the game will immediately appear in your library. The developers expect this phase to run for approximately one to two months to collect player feedback before moving into Early Access. The exact completion date will be announced later.
The beta version at launch included approximately an hour of content. Players can complete the introduction, tutorial, and first mission with one star. There are plans to add new material as the phases progress, but the exact composition of future updates has yet to be determined.
Progress will be completely reset after the beta test ends. However, as a reward for participating, all players will receive a Beta Cape, which will be available for collection after the game’s scheduled early access release in late 2026.
Scramble Knights Online is described as an adventure MMO-lite role-playing game set in the Terracotta Kingdom. Players take on the role of a novice knight, exploring locations, completing small quests, fighting monsters, and gradually developing their own personality.
In the game, you can travel alone or team up with other knights (up to four people). In addition to the regular co-op mode, there’s also a local split-screen mode for two players. The adventure includes dungeons filled with puzzles, secrets, and bosses, and victory earns players loot to further develop their gear. In the city you can upgrade equipment, fish, communicate with other players and group up before the next mission. Weapons and armor crafting, long-term character development, and PvP conflicts between teams were also announced.
