After 10,500 hours of continuous operation, residual contours are clearly visible even on the latest panels. In fact, the 2023 OLED is on average 28% brighter than its predecessor in 10% of the viewing window, and the entire screen is 52% brighter at once, which puts a huge load on the pixels. Experts emphasize that this is an extreme case (equivalent to watching one channel for five hours a day for 10 years) and there is no need to worry about watching a variety of content regularly – burnout will continue to be an online horror story. However, for those who use the screen for electrostatic work, it is recommended to lower the brightness a bit.
