Post-apocalyptic shooters Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light from developer 4A Games have already received updates for current-gen consoles, but now it’s time for another upgrade.

how report Publisher Deep Silver said that on October 29, “Metro 2033 Redux” and “Metro: Last Light Redux” will receive free updates for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, improving graphics (lighting, shadows, particle effects) and supporting two modes:
- Native resolution 4K and 60 fps;
- Upgraded 4K resolution and 120 fps.
They promise support for the PSSR upscaler on PS5 Pro, TSR upscaling and anti-aliasing on Xbox Series X, spatial audio on Xbox platforms, adaptive triggers on DualSense, and pulse triggers on Xbox controllers.
The PC versions of Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux will also receive an upgrade, a week earlier than the console versions – which were already updated on October 22nd. Supports 4K, unlimited frame rates, DLSS and spatial audio.
Many of the fixes and improvements suggested by the community will also be implemented across all platforms, including some hotly requested fixes and improvements. A complete list of changes, including all technical details, will be available when the update is released.
Finally, Deep Silver reports that Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, Metro: Exodus and their re-releases have collectively sold over 50 million copies. The announcement is accompanied by a short video on the topic.
Now 4A Games is preparing to release Metro 2039, the series’ first flagship title in eight years. The game will be released on PC on February 4, 2027 (does not apply to the Russian version) steam, microsoft store, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S.
