In June, the first project was launched by Maverick Games, a studio made up of former Playground Games employees who worked on Forza Horizon. This is the game CLUTCH – a story-driven racing arcade game where you can compete in professional and illegal races. The project is expected to launch in 2027 and now has a page on the Microsoft Store.
The introduction of CLUTCH pages in the Microsoft Store allows players in the Xbox ecosystem to add items to their wishlists. Let us remind you that with the recent update the wishlist has been expanded to 1000 locations, which makes it possible to store many games in it, both released and anticipated releases.
Currently, Maverick Games has not opened CLUTCH pre-orders, nor has it announced the price of the game. But they have confirmed that it will get Play Anywhere support within the Xbox ecosystem. This will allow you to buy it once and use it on Xbox Series X | S and PC. Additionally, from the outset, the project will feature cross-platform multiplayer and shared saves.
CLUTCH offers players an open world inspired by Monaco and the South of France. The game will offer both single-player and two-player co-op play. Developers also note that people will be able to explore the world on foot outside of cars. The project itself was created on Unreal Engine 5.
