Gigabyte shows off G4L4-ZD3 servers based on AMD EPYC Turin and NVIDIA HGX B300 and SŽO

Gigabyte expands its range of artificial intelligence servers and launches a model G4L4-ZD3-LAX7 Adopts 4U form factor. The device is built on a hardware platform AMD EPYC 9005 Turin combine NVIDIA HGX B300 (SXM).







Two EPYC processors can be installed in Socket SP5 (LGA 6096) with TDP up to 500 W. There are 24 slots available for DDR5-6400 RAM modules, and 4 PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for FHHL size cards. Power is provided by 10 3000 W units with redundancy and 80 PLUS Titanium certification.

The server is equipped with an ASPEED AST2600 controller, two Intel X710-AT2 based 10GbE network ports and a dedicated 1GbE network management port. Eight OSFP InfiniBand XDR ports with throughput up to 800 Gbps or dual 400GbE ports based on NVIDIA ConnectX-8 SuperNIC. compatibility DPU NVIDIA BlueField-3.

There are eight SFF drive bays with PCIe 5.0 (NVMe) interface on the front. Additionally, there are two internal M.2 connectors (2280/22110) for SSDs with PCIe 3.0 x4 and PCIe 3.0 x1 interfaces. There are two front-facing USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a D-Sub connector, and three RJ45 sockets for network cables.

Liquid cooling is used to cover all critical parts, including CPU, GPU and RAM. In addition, a 60 mm diameter fan is installed in the motherboard area, and an 80 mm diameter fan is installed in the PCIe slot area. Operating temperature range – from +10 to +35 °C. An optional TPM 2.0 module is available for added security.
