Last Saturday, August 15, more than 3,000 “Kingdom of Heaven: Deliverance” fans from all over the world came to the Czech village of Maresov. One day it became a gathering place for players, developers and fans of medieval adventures.
Guests enjoyed music, improvisational comedy performances, and Farkle, a gambling game that perfectly suited the festive atmosphere. The main event is an exchange between members of the community, who gather in the heart of historic Bohemia to work for “Kingdom Come”.
The organizers would like to thank everyone who came out and helped make Fan Fest so memorable. They say events like this are possible thanks to the community in the first place. Judging by the number of guests, fans of the show won’t need long to explain why it’s worth going to Maleshov: more than three thousand people did it themselves, combining dance, laughter, games and a bit of medieval spirit.
For the team, Fan Festival is not only another gathering with players, but also a way to thank the community for their support. It seems that on this day, the residents of Maleshov got a rare opportunity to see what a real game festival is like, as thousands of fans suddenly flocked to a village.
